About AACE Inpatient Glycemic Control Resource Center

Hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients, both those with known diabetes as well as patients not known to have diabetes, is an important clinical issue. Hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients has been shown to be associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Efforts to identify and improve hyperglycemia require a multidisciplinary effort.

The AACE Task Force on Care of Patients with Hyperglycemia has created the AACE Inpatient Glycemic Control Resource Center, which contains protocols, guidelines, teaching modules, and other tools helpful in the implementation of inpatient glucose management for various members of the healthcare team.

The AACE Inpatient Glycemic Control Resource Center was developed in collaboration with Convergent Health Solutions with an educational grant provided by Novo Nordisk.
